This was a strange game to play
Say the safe word and I’ll walk away
You said you never felt so free
But the blood on the floor
Didn’t fall out of me
You find the levels always spill
Serotonin burns your skin
You’re caught up in what could have been
A walk of shame you’re circling
You love to feel you’ve crossed a line
But your straight lines got you entwined
You’re only here to run away
Throw your punches I will stay
This was a strange day to change
You went straight for the source
Then you moved out of range
I think I caught you for a while
You said watching you control yourself
Is like watching blood dry
I understand the circumstance
You could have walked you had to dance
Crawl through the shit of old romance
You wish you had a million hands
To hang on to the things that shone
A semblance here a semblance gone
Maybe I’m right maybe I’m wrong
Throw your punches I will come
There’s things that set our lives apart
There’s other places we can start
There’s nothing like a head of scars
To halt a perfect beating heart
You once described me as a friend
When did that description end
The memories don’t go away
You numb them with a different pain
Wonderful to see Irish musicians putting out something as fresh as this, even if Bitch Falcon's influences are front and centre. The album is a fantastic mix of shoegaze and grunge (and even dream pop if I may be so bold), and it all comes together in one tight, thoroughly enjoyable package. derringerhk
Incredible album. I'm so happy how "Little Green Cars" evolved into Soda Blonde, and extremely pleased that Faye O'Rourke is at the forefront of vocals with her fantastic, captivating voice. Such a moving album, and the underlying themes really presenting a sort of isolation and general feeling of being upset in a relationship, in my interpretation. Why do I love this record? it has a haunting sound with a destination. The vocals are very sweet and the riffs hook you in . The songs have a great momentem they begin at once place then end some other place and don't go in a circle . if that makes sense? jimmyfuc
angel apricot makes sweet and intimate '90s-style bedroom pop with delicate melodies and melancholic, reflective lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 29, 2022
A fascinating bit of bedroom outsider indie, Suchus has crafted nine songs with beguiling melodies and watery layers of guitar. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2022
